FAQ

Enterprise servers: questions

All questions
What is the difference between EPYC 4004 and EPYC 9004?

The EPYC 4464P is an EPYC 4004 processor: a server CPU on the AM5 platform, with up to 12 cores, high clocks and two DDR5 ECC channels. The EPYC 9354P and 9654 are EPYC 9004 “Genoa” processors with twelve memory channels, much more memory and many more cores.

Which EPYC server is best for Proxmox?

For a handful of VMs, the EPYC 4464P is efficient and fast. For dense virtualization, the EPYC 7443P (24 cores, 256 GB) and EPYC 9354P (32 cores, 384 GB) give you room for dozens of guests, with a 10 Gbps port included.

Can I get more RAM or disks than listed?

Yes. Extra NVMe drives can be added where the chassis has a free bay, and our team quotes custom builds with more memory, more disks or a different CPU, usually within one business day.

Is the 10 Gbps port really unmetered?

Yes. Traffic is not counted or billed per gigabyte: you can use the full 10 Gbps around the clock within the Acceptable Use Policy, which only forbids reselling the bandwidth as IP transit.
