How much usable space do I get on the 64 TB server?

It depends on the layout. Four 16 TB drives give about 48 TB usable in RAID 5 or RAIDZ1, or about 32 TB in RAID 10 or two mirrors. RAID 10 rebuilds faster and handles random I/O better; RAIDZ1 gives more space.

Is a storage server a backup by itself?

Only if it holds a second copy of data that lives somewhere else. Follow the 3-2-1 rule: three copies, two different media, one off-site. A storage server in another location is a good off-site copy.

Can I add more drives?

Additional 16 TB drives can be added where the chassis has a free bay, for $22 per drive per month. For larger capacity, ask for a custom quote.

When will the 240 TB server be back?

It is sold out for now and will be restocked. Meanwhile, the 64 TB server is in stock, and our team can quote a custom high-capacity build.
