Contents
1. We don’t use cookies
dedijet.com does not set cookies. We use no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, and no similar tracking technologies such as pixels or browser fingerprinting. We load no third-party scripts either, so there is nothing to accept or refuse when you visit our website.
2. What we store instead: your currency choice
Prices are shown in US dollars by default. If you switch to euros, or back, your browser saves your choice in its local storage so that the next pages show the same currency:
| Name | Value | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
dj-cur | usd or eur | Remembers the currency you chose | Until you clear it |
It is saved only when you click the currency switch. Unlike a cookie, it is never sent to our servers, and it contains nothing that identifies you. To remove it, delete the site data for dedijet.com in your browser settings, usually under privacy, in “cookies and site data”. In a private window, it disappears when you close the window.
3. Cloudflare security cookies
Our website is delivered and protected by Cloudflare. Only when its bot protection is triggered, for example when traffic looks automated or a security check (a “challenge”) is shown, Cloudflare may set one of these strictly necessary cookies:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Helps Cloudflare tell people from automated traffic (bots) | Expires after 30 minutes of inactivity |
cf_clearance | Records that your browser passed a security check, so that you are not asked again | Short-lived, as set in our security settings |
These cookies are used only for security, never for tracking or advertising, and Cloudflare states that it does not use them to follow you from site to site. Because they are strictly necessary to protect the website, they do not require your consent. For details, see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
4. Our client area (opening soon)
When our client area opens, it will use one strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. It will be set only when you log in, will not be used for tracking, and will be removed when you log out or your session expires. We will update this policy with its name and duration before the client area opens.
5. Why there is no cookie banner
Privacy rules such as the EU and UK ePrivacy rules require consent before information is stored on your device, unless it is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for. Everything described above falls under that exception: your currency choice is stored only because you asked for it, and the Cloudflare cookies are needed to keep the website secure. As nothing requires your consent, we do not show a cookie banner. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
