DediJet servers are rented month by month, paid in advance in cryptocurrency. There is no setup fee on any listed server and no long contract: you can cancel at any time. This page explains invoices, renewals, payments, suspension, cancellation and refunds.
How billing works
- Monthly and prepaid. Each month is paid before it starts.
- Prices exclude VAT. VAT is added to invoices where applicable.
- Invoices in USD or EUR. Invoices are denominated in USD (or EUR) and converted to cryptocurrency at checkout. EUR prices shown on the site are indicative.
- Delivery starts on confirmation. A new in-stock server is provisioned as soon as your payment is confirmed; see How instant delivery works.
- Add-ons such as additional IPv4 addresses, backup space or a Windows Server license are billed monthly too; see Add-ons.
Renewals and account balance
A server renews every month on the same day of the month as its order: ordered on the 14th, it renews on the 14th. The renewal invoice is issued 7 days before that due date, which leaves a week to pay it. You can download all your invoices from your dashboard; keep them for your accounting.
You can top up your account balance in crypto at any time, and renewals are paid from the balance automatically. A balance that covers a few months means no invoice to pay by hand and no risk of suspension while you are away. SLA credits are also added to your balance, and unused balance can be refunded (see Refunds below).
Paying with cryptocurrency
We accept Bitcoin (on-chain and Lightning), Ethereum, USDT (ERC-20 and TRC-20) and Litecoin. At checkout, the exchange rate is locked for 30 minutes: send the payment within that window. Typical confirmation times, for guidance only:
| Payment method | Typical confirmation time |
|---|---|
| Bitcoin Lightning | Instant (seconds) |
| USDT on Tron (TRC-20) | About 1 minute |
| Ethereum and USDT (ERC-20) | About 3 minutes |
| Litecoin | About 5 minutes (2 confirmations) |
| Bitcoin on-chain | About 10–20 minutes (1 confirmation) |
For the fastest takeoff, pay with Lightning or USDT on TRC-20. Two habits prevent most payment problems:
- Use the network shown on the invoice. USDT exists on several networks; sending ERC-20 tokens to a TRC-20 address, or the reverse, can lose the funds.
- Check the amount that arrives. When you pay from an exchange, its withdrawal fee may be deducted from what you send: make sure the full invoice amount reaches the address.
Step-by-step details are on Pay with crypto.
If an invoice is not paid
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| 7 days before the due date | The renewal invoice is issued, and paid from your balance if it covers the amount. |
| Due date | The renewal is due. |
| 3 days after the due date | The server is suspended. |
| 10 days after the due date | The server is terminated and its disks are securely erased. |
Termination is final. Once the disks are securely erased, the data cannot be recovered, by you or by us. If you might miss a payment, top up your balance in advance or copy your data off the server.
Paying the overdue invoice before termination is what brings a suspended server back. If it does not come back online after payment, open a ticket.
Cancel a server
Cancel at any time from your dashboard. The server stays online until the end of the month you have paid for, and is then not renewed. Before the machine returns to stock, its disks are securely erased, so copy everything you need before the last day. Partial months are not refunded.
Refunds
- Late delivery: if we cannot deliver an in-stock server within 24 hours of payment confirmation, you get a full refund on request.
- Partial months are not refunded, whether you cancel early or stop using the server.
- Unused balance is refundable on request, in the original cryptocurrency, minus the network fee.
- Value: refunds are calculated at the USD value of the original payment, not in coins. If the coin’s price has moved since you paid, you receive a different number of coins for the same USD value.
Upgrade to a bigger server
A bare-metal server cannot be resized in place: its CPU and memory are physical parts of one machine. To move to a bigger configuration, open a ticket and we will suggest the best path. The usual route is to order the new server, migrate, then cancel the old one, which stays online until the end of its paid month, so both can run in parallel during the move. Data migration is up to you unless we quote it separately. Some upgrades apply to the same machine: extra NVMe drives where the chassis has a free bay, a 10 Gbps port on 1 Gbps plans, or more IPv4 addresses (see Add-ons).
